DPS 62/65/12 over S400 Turbo (75mm) - Baseline Kit Great for Towing

Full Compound Turbo Kit See Below for Details

  • This compound kit is the most user friendly kit to fit on your Ford pickup with the Cummins engine conversion. Made to clear your heater A/C core. Other features include:
  • High Flow 3-Piece Exhaust Manifold included in kit, with built in pre-tapped pyro ports.
  • The largest air filter on the market.
  • Low pressure charge pipe is silicone with Kevlar/Nomex liner (which is easier to fit than a steel tube). Silicone tubing uses fewer clamps and has better flow characteristics than steel.
  • High pressure charge pipe is strong chrome plated aluminum.
  • Small turbo has a 150% greater wastegate capacity
  • Cast hot pipe, not flimsy welded exhaust pipe.
  • Flexible Steel braided oil supply lines, and stainless steel oil drain lines.
  • Polished Diesel Power Source (small) turbocharger.
  • S475 (S400 with 75mm compressor wheel) as atmospheric turbo
  • S400 Race Cover, with shrouded inlet, flows amazing, has elbow outlet allowing very good fit. This race cover with elbow outlet is unique to our kit.
  • Support bracket for Lower (large) turbocharger.
  • Adjustable boost pressure.
  • Tons of other upgrade options: (upgrade options include increasing the S475 turbo up to an S480 or, and the DPS turbo 62mm to a 64mm, and turbine wheel upgrades from 65mm to 71mm or 74mm, and turbine housing from 0.70 to 0.80 a/r Call for details.)
  • Intercooler hose to fit the Ford intercooler.
  • Wastegated
  • Our Fummins Race Compressor Housing on the S400 Turbos is unique to the DPS Fummins Twin Kits, giving our kit alone the ability to fit into the complex Ford Cummins Conversion Projects.
  • Our kits now come with two separate oil drain lines (except for 12V engines that only have one oil drain port).

Where else can you find a twin kit for your conversion? No where but here. Even includes the intercooler hose to fit the Ford intercooler.

Diesel Power Source, Twin/Compound Turbo Kit, performs excellent when Racing, Towing, or Sled Pulling, but is very driveable. SPOOL UP IS SIMILAR TO STOCK, while raising airflow significantly. You'll be amazed at the spool up, and driveability they get from such a high performance kit. **SPOOL UP IS VERY SIMILAR TO STOCK TURBO.

EGT's are typically reduced by 300-500 degrees, over a single turbocharger.

Boost pressure will typically exceed drive pressure, which can't typically be done with a single turbocharger (with a single turbo, drive pressure is typically about double boost pressure).

Horsepower, and torque are increased throughout the entire RPM band, and significantly increased in mid and upper range.

Specifically tuned for 300 - 600 horsepower applications (For large power, see our larger kits).

**Note: New model ford trucks may not fit our intercooler hose, due to a change in Ford's intercooler location.

This Fummins Conversion Kit was designed on cutting edge CAD/CAM Software, using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Testing. You will not find a more high tech kit on the market today. Everything fits like it was built from the factory.

Fummins Kit includes: Air Filter, Cast Hot Pipe, Support Bracket for S400 Turbo, 3-Piece Exhaust Manifold (pre-tapped ports for pyro), Complete Air Intake including Air Filter, Silicone Charge Pipe (on Low-pressure end), Chrome Plated Aluminum Charge Pipe, 1-DPS 62 Turbo (small turbo, 62/65/12),1-S475 Turbo (large turbo 75mm compressor wheel/ 96m turbine wheel, 1.32 A/R Housing), 2-Steel Braided High Temp Oil Supply Lines, 2-Oil Drain Lines & Fittings, Turbo & Manifold Gaskets, Oil Line Adapters, Mounting Bolts, Exhaust Adapter (from S480 to exhaust pipe), V-Band Clamps, High Torque T-Bolt Clamps, Low Torque Clamps, Installation Instructions.

DPS Turbos are based on the S300 platform.

Note: The following test results are on our HT3B Twin Kit (the S475-S483 Twin Kits yield even better results).

EGT TEST RESULTS: The following test results were to test different single turbochargers against our Twin Turbo Kit (this test was on our HT3B twin kit which has less air flow than the S400 series kits). Each test consisted of a sustained 400hp dyno pull. The test truck was brought up to a 400hp on the dyno, and then loaded to hold a sustained loaded pull, equal to pulling a trailer up a grade using 400 hp. The EGT's were read pre-turbo. The results follow:

  • Test 1 Stock Turbo: Max EGT's reached 1700 degrees, (Test Time: 13 seconds, operator ended test due to excessive EGT's).
  • Test 2 Competitors Stainless Steel Housing Turbo: Max EGT's reached 1700 deg (Test Time: 17 seconds, operator ended test due to excessive EGT's).
  • Test 3 Diesel Power Source Twin Turbos: Max EGT's reached 1290 (Test Time: 1 minute, EGT's did not ever exceed 1290 degrees).

Reasons Why Our Compound Turbos Work So Well

  • The air entering the cylinders is cooler, because dual compressors work together within their most efficient zone. The boost air is typically over 100 cooler than from a single turbo.
  • The air entering the cylinder is at higher pressure, bringing the boost pressure and exhaust drive pressures near a 1:1 ratio. The intake stroke can actually produce power.
  • There are additional air molecules in the cylinder which do not get involved in combustion which carry the heat out of the cylinder (similar to how a jet engine is cooled).
  • It has more complete combustion in the cylinders because there’s more air in the cylinder to burn all of the fuel.

**While a downpipe is not included in this kit, we do include a machined exhaust adapter/reducer which v-band clamps onto the exhaust outlet of the S400 turbo, so that a 4” or 5” exhaust pipe can be welded onto it. This makes it very convenient to attach whatever exhaust system you have.

** The standard kit is a DPS 62 over an S475. (You can upgrade the wheel sizes in either turbo for additional charges.)

When shipping to anywhere outside of the lower 48 states, additional shipping fees may apply.

Head Stud Recommendations:

  • 2007.5-2012 Engines: Head studs if boost pressure over 50 PSI, Fire Rings over 55 PSI
  • 2003-2007 Engines: Head studs if boost pressure over 55 PSI, Fire Rings over 65 PSI
  • 1989-2002 Engines: Head studs if boost pressure over 48 PSI, Fire Rings over 55 PSI

Please note: Ford/Cummins, Chevy/Cummins or any other conversion kit are considered a custom application. The hardest part of these conversion kits are getting both turbos to fit in the truck and clear the heater core. Our compound kits are specifically designed to get both turbos to fit nicely. In most cases the intercooler hose will fit to a factory intercooler, and will allow the intake to fit as well, however because all of these conversion kits are so custom in nature it is the responsibility of the installer to tie in the intercooler, exhaust and intake tubing into the truck. This is because the engines, alternators, batteries, intercoolers, etc. can be done in some many different configurations it would be impossible for any single kit to universally fit every swap application. In most of the conversion applications, expect to do some fabricating to exhaust pipe, intake and/or intercooler tubing.

Thanks so much guys, fummins compounds fit like a glove. 97 f350 with 74k original miles , 6k on 24 valve Cummins & 47re swap ,shackle reversal , cross over steering and around 10 inch of lift .rolling on 37s .funny thing is I built this to pull our toy hauler. Can’t wait to pull with compounds. By the way I have to tell you I was skeptical of a fummins compound kit due to the lack of space but your guys on the phone assured me this kit would work. Wish I would have found you guys before I first installed my Cummins with a single BD turbo

This kit just fits! I went with the smaller 62/65 with s475 for my 2002 Excursion conversion. Best family tow vehicle. The kit fit and you told me I would have to modify the downpipe to fit and I just had a muffler shop do a custom fit downpipe and exhaust for me. We look forward to many more years of family camping with this new setup! Thanks DPS
