The Diesel Power Source® HE400VG is a direct replacement VGT turbocharger for 2016-2025 Cummins ISX15 and X15 engines. This turbo replaces the factory Holset HE400VG with an upgraded design that uses forged machined compressor wheels (FMW), improved engineering to address known OEM weak points, and a brand-new electronic actuator (not remanufactured). Choose between the standard 67mm compressor (HE467VG) or the DPS-exclusive 70mm compressor (HE470VG) for applications above 500 HP.
Every DPS HE400VG turbo ships with no core charge, a new intake air temperature sensor, new gaskets, and installation hardware. ESN verification is required before shipment to confirm correct fitment for your engine configuration.
Important: This turbo does NOT fit HE451VE applications. The HE451VE uses a different compressor cover and actuator configuration that is not compatible with this turbocharger. If your current turbo is an HE451VE, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the correct replacement for your engine.

The 67mm compressor is the largest size available on the factory Holset HE400VG. The 70mm compressor is exclusive to Diesel Power Source® and is not available from OEM or other aftermarket suppliers. Both options use the same turbine wheel and share the same VGT housing and actuator.
Why Replace Both the Turbo and Actuator Together
Diesel Power Source® strongly recommends replacing the turbo and actuator as a pair. Installing a new turbo with an old actuator (or a new actuator with a worn turbo) can cause VGT calibration errors, reduced performance, and premature component failure. Each DPS HE400VG turbo ships with a brand-new, pre-calibrated electronic actuator specifically matched to the turbo for proper VGT control from the first startup.

Cummins X15 Turbo and VGT Problems (Common Symptoms)
If you are experiencing any of the following, your factory HE400VG turbo or VGT actuator may be failing:
- Low boost or underboost under load, especially on grades
- Slow spool or laggy turbo response compared to normal operation

This turbo fits Cummins ISX15 and X15 engines on CM2250, CM2350, and CM2450 platforms (late 2016-2025). Also fits CM871 platform (2010-2016). Engine build date and ECM platform must be confirmed via ESN before shipment.

Turbo for 2018 ISX15
It bolts right in i do suggest that you get new studs and bolts it would be nice if it was a option for it. Over all very satisfied with it. Comes with gaskets too. You do have to pull parts off old turbo so make sure you check everything
