The Diesel Power Source® HE400VG Turbo & Manifold Package combines a brand-new HE400VG VGT turbocharger with actuator, the DPS high-flow ISX15 exhaust manifold, and a complete exhaust manifold hardware kit into one kit for 2016–2025 Cummins ISX15 and X15 engines. This package is designed for trucks that need both a turbo and manifold replacement in the same job, whether due to a failed VGT turbo, a cracked exhaust manifold, or both.

ISX15 and X15 turbo failures often accompany manifold cracking and occur in the same mileage window — and replacing only one leaves the other as a ticking clock. Replacing both together eliminates two of the most common ISX15 failure points in a single installation, saves significant shop labor, and ensures both components are matched for optimal exhaust flow and VGT performance from day one.

Important: This kit does NOT fit HE451VE applications. The HE451VE uses a different compressor cover and actuator configuration. If your current turbo is an HE451VE (early 2016 and before), contact Diesel Power Source® before ordering.   


Why Replace the Turbo and Manifold Together

On Cummins ISX15 and X15 engines, turbo failure and manifold cracking often occur in the same mileage window. A cracked or warped manifold creates exhaust leaks that starve the turbo of drive pressure and increase EGTs. A failing turbo with sticking VGT vanes or actuator issues creates backpressure spikes that accelerate manifold cracking. You’re already removing the same components to do either job — replacing both at the same time is simply the smarter use of shop time and money.

The DPS high-flow ISX15 manifold increases exhaust flow approximately 22%, reduces EGTs by approximately 75–100°F, and delivers measurably earlier turbo spool under load. The new HE400VG turbo with a fresh actuator restores proper VGT function, stabilizes backpressure, and protects the new manifold. Upgrade to the HE470VG 70mm compressor option and you add improved airflow, lower EGTs, better fuel mileage, and more HP capability — all in the same bolt-on installation.

HE400VG VGT Turbocharger

The HE467VG 67mm compressor matches the largest factory wheel size and is a direct performance replacement — spools the same as stock with improved build quality and durability. The HE470VG 70mm is exclusive to Diesel Power Source® and is where the real performance gains are. The larger 70mm wheel moves more air without spinning as hard to deliver the same power — reducing heat, extending turbo life, and putting less stress on the entire system. Customers upgrading to the HE470VG have reported 5–8% HP improvement and up to 12% better fuel mileage compared to the stock HE467VG factory wheel size. Recommended for applications above 500 HP, heavy haulers, and any owner who wants more out of the platform.

The 1,800° Cerakote coating provides the highest level of thermal protection and is recommended for trucks operating in sustained high-load conditions such as heavy hauling, mountain grades, or hot-climate operations. The 1,000° standard ceramic coating provides excellent heat resistance for standard commercial duty cycles.

Fitment

This kit fits 2016–2025 Cummins ISX15 and X15 engines with CM2250 (some years), CM2350 and 2450 platforms. ESN verification is required before shipment. Compatible with Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, International, and Western Star platforms. Jake brake / engine brake functionality is fully preserved. After installation, re-torque all manifold and turbo bolts after the first 100 miles at operating temperature.

Select your manifold configuration at checkout: EGR (emissions intact) or Non-EGR (deleted). Select your coating level: 1,000° or 1,800°. Select your turbo compressor size: 67mm or 70mm.

Not compatible with HE451VE turbo applications.

About the Manifold Joint Seal

Every DPS multi-piece manifold uses a hard, metal-to-metal press-fit seal at each joint — no gasket. The seal tightens through thermal expansion and performs best at driving temperatures (750°F and higher). Minor leakage at cold or idle is normal and expected on any joint-style manifold and is not a sign of a defective part.

    It bolts right in i do suggest that you get new studs and bolts it would be nice if it was a option for it. Over all very satisified with it. Comes with gaskets too. You do have to pull parts off old turbo so make sure you check everything.
