S400 Cummins ISX Turbo Conversion Kit | Piping, Oil Lines, and Hardware for 2008–2024 ISX / ISX15 / X15
The Diesel Power Source® S400 Turbo Conversion Kit provides all of the piping, oil lines, adapters, and hardware needed to install a BorgWarner S400-series turbo on a 2008–2024 Cummins ISX, ISX15, or X15 engine. This kit is designed for owners and shops who already have their own S400, S410, S475, S478, S480, or other T6-flange turbo and need the supporting components to complete the conversion.

Who Is This Kit For?
This piping and hardware kit is the right choice if you fall into one of these situations:
- You already own an S400/S410 or compatible T6 turbo and need the ISX-specific plumbing, oil lines, exhaust adapter, and hardware to install it.
- You already have a T6 exhaust manifold (from a previous build, a separate purchase, or from the DPS T6 manifold product line) and just need the conversion hardware.
- You're a shop or fleet that stocks turbos and manifolds separately but needs the ISX-specific piping kit to complete S400 conversions efficiently.
If you don't already have a turbo and manifold, the S400 Complete Turbo Conversion Kit includes everything: turbo, T6 manifold, and all hardware in one package at a better value than buying components separately.

- Rubber intake elbow
- Cast turbo compressor elbow (90° or 45°, selected at checkout)
- Turbo oil supply line with fittings
- Turbo oil drain tube with gasket
- Exhaust stainless steel V-band adapter or cast exhaust adapter (determined by ESN and engine manufacture year)
- Couples directly to factory exhaust
- 5.5" V-band clamp

- Air compressor filter kit (filters approximately 15–20 microns)
Air compressor filter note: If operating in dusty or off-road conditions, use a lower micron filter or route the air compressor back through the intake filter for additional protection.
What's NOT Included

Compatible Turbochargers
This kit is designed to work with any turbocharger that uses a T6 exhaust flange. Common compatible turbos include:

For enhanced spool-up and exhaust braking capability on any of these turbos, add the Turbonator® VGT exhaust housing. The Turbonator® fits S475, S478, S480, S483, S488, and any S400 turbo with a 96mm turbine wheel.
Fitment
This conversion kit fits Cummins ISX and ISX15 engines with CM871, CM2250, CM2350, and X15 ECM platforms (2008–2024). Compatible with Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, International, and Western Star trucks.
This kit is for use on previously deleted, non-emissions trucks only. Diesel Power Source® does not sell or support emissions delete components.
Please provide your Cummins Engine Serial Number (ESN) and select your engine manufacture year range when ordering. The exhaust outlet adapter included in the kit varies by ESN and year, so accurate information is required for correct fitment.
How to Find Your Exhaust Outlet Connection Part Number
When ordering, you'll select your exhaust outlet connection part number. This number is cast or stamped on the exhaust outlet pipe. The available options are:

This kit works with any turbocharger that uses a T6 exhaust inlet flange. Compatible turbos include the BorgWarner S400, S410, S475, S478, S480, S483, S488, and any other T6-flange turbo. DPS also offers the Turbonator® VGT exhaust housing, which can be added to any compatible S400 turbo for variable geometry braking and faster spool-up.

Yes. BorgWarner S400-series turbochargers use a T6 exhaust inlet flange, which is different from the factory Holset turbo mounting. Your stock manifold will not bolt directly to an S400 turbo. DPS offers the T6 Exhaust Manifold for Cummins ISX designed specifically for this conversion.
This kit ($1,899) includes only the piping, oil lines, exhaust adapter, and hardware needed for an S400 conversion. The S400 Complete Conversion Kit ($4,799) includes everything: an S400 turbo (S475, S478, or S480), the DPS T6 exhaust manifold, and all of the same piping and hardware. Choose this kit if you already own a compatible turbo and/or manifold. Choose the complete kit if you need everything.

Straightforward install
Put this kit on with a Borg S475. Everything bolted up pretty clean. Had to tweak one clamp but nothing major. Truck definitely breathes better now.
