DPS Turbonator® VGT/INT Exhaust Housing Upgrade Options
Turbine Housing Info: Most DPS Turbos come standard with a T3 Wastegated exhaust housing, which can be upgraded to the Turbonator VGT/INT Housing. Our Wastegated housings flow approximately 22 lbs/min through the wastegate when it is open. This is the eqivalent of having one size larger turbine housing at wide open throttle, with the spool-up and drivability of a smaller exhaust housing when accelerating, giving you the best of both worlds! On 6.7 Cummins engines our testing has shown the our T3, wastegated, exhaust housings perform superior in all categories compared to T4 housings non-wastegated housings, below 800 HP. Our standad divided scroll turbine housings create boost nearly 100-200 RPM faster and flow equal to or superior to the standard T4 housings at WOT. We also have our Turbonator VGT housing available as an upgrade on most of our turbos, which improve spool-up another 200-300 RPM faster.

DPS 6.7 Cummins Turbo Swap Kit
FAQ's:
Q: I have 2nd gen swap 6.7 Cummins kit already with S467.7 turbo, I'm disappointed with the spool. I want better towing and low end. How would the DPS 3rd Gen Swap kit help?
A: 6.7 Cummins 2nd gen swap kits with S400 turbo are not wastegated, so they have huge turbine housings, and very heavy interior components, making them spool very slowly. Our third gen swap kits all are S300 based have lighter internals and are wastegated so a smaller our S368 turbo will flow more air, and exhaust and spool much faster.
Q: I have the 6.7 Cummins turbo, and really want a 6.7 Cummins vgt turbo upgrade kit. My stock 6.7 Cummins vgt turbo just went out. What pros an cons with your kit?
A: Pros first: A lot more reliable turbo. Lower EGT's, Lower drive pressure, Lots more power, great drivability, better mileage. Direct bolt on, right in the factory 6.7 Cummins turbo locatoin. Cons, you lose exhaust brake. EGR must already be deleted. We don't provide any 6.7 Cummins deletes.
2016 ram 3500. The truck is really responsive and dosen't hiccup when you let off the throttle. The old turbo and manifold were seized together but the swap went together with ease and a lot less cussing and skinned hands. Love the 3rd gen exhaust tone.
After replacing two of the factory turbos on my 2013 ram I said enough and was looking for a 2nd gen S464 swap kit. I found DPS 3gen kit for a lot less money, budget was tight so I went with DPS and so glad I did. I got their 66/74 S366 billet at their recommendation. My truck has about 200* lower egts and way better power, it doesn't feel so choked up. Install only took about 3 hrs, if I wasn't already deleted it would have been longer. I did lose my exhaust brake, but hoping to get the dps Turbonator with tax money in a few months. I'm really happy with it so far!
After paying way too much for a stock replacement turbo, I looked into this kit. I had several items removed from the engine and went with a 3rd Gen Swap . I went fixed turbo and love it have several thousand miles on it now and waiting to get the Turbonator turbo
So I just purchased one of these guys 3rd gen swap kits and let me tell you: WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Should have done this a long time ago, I have a 2018 with a manual trans and I decided to go with the s366 option. Absolutely hands down would never want a VGT ever again! Being a manual, the VGT affects how you shift believe it or not, after I installed the s366 this truck shifts amazing! If you are thinking about doing a third gen swap on your truck, DPS will not disappoint
Best decision ever, was to get rid of the stock turbo. I went with your 66 turbo with stock fueling and the performance has been what you said it would be. I look forward to getting your VGT turbo housing soon.
