** Turbos will spool differently in every truck. Injector size, timing, camshaft, and other mods all affect the spool-up, the above table is the typical spool-up RPM's.

Our Diesel Power Source T-4 Cummins 5.9 turbos are perfectly engineered to offer excellent drive-ability while making large drops in EGT's, and huge horsepower gains. The DPS Wastegated T4 turbo for 5.9 cummins is based on the S300 turbo platform with substantial modifications. Our innovative in-house engineering has greatly improved the performance of the DPS Turbos by:

Redesigning the exhaust scroll, creating quicker spool up than a comparable sized 14cm2 housing.

Utilizing a wastegate designed to flow more volume

Improving the internal bearing structure

3 Stage Mechanical Actuator VGT Included

  • Improves spool-up by 200-400 RPM's

  • Hold the veins better at every position throughout the RPM range

Hybrid VGT Upgrade - Allow Exhaust Braking

  • Improves spool-up by 200-400 RPM's
  • Improves turbo performance and output
  • Adds Exhaust Brake to Turbo
  • Exhaust Braking Function with the Turbonator® VGT- will always increase exhaust pressure while braking, however, Diesel Power Source does NOT guarantee a specific Exhaust Braking force as every truck and application will be different. We mainly recommend the exhaust brake (hybrid) option for trucks built in 2003 or after.

 

These DPS T4 Turbos for 5.9 cummins are also an excellent choice for the primary charger in a twin (compound) turbo application.
